About Us
“Pueblos de Café” is a family run project providing and in depth look at coffee production. From its beginnings on the farms, we follow the crop through all of its activities and processes, down to the final product: the beverage we’re all so familiar with. It is a pleasure to present our humble, yet world-renowned coffee production zone to you.
Apart from the production process we want you to learn about, we also want you to take part in real day-to-day life with local families in an environment of a people dedicated purely to coffee farming. Since 1958 our family has devoted itself to Coffee culture. We pride ourselves in sharing the experience with others who take part in our love for coffee. Even in the minutest part of our lifestyles, which includes daily work on our farms, coffee is an intricate part of how we live and conduct ourselves.
Our goal is to demonstrate, via a “hands on” experience, a real perspective of what actually takes place in the lives of those involved in Coffee culture in Tarrazú, Costa Rica. Participants can see, breathe, share, and work with locals on coffee farms under real working conditions. We want you to experience the whole process coffee undergoes to become a consumable product, including the practices and traditions that go along with such an activity. Such as our commitment to the environment and its wellbeing, which continues to increase in order to provide a product that is conscious and respectful of natural and human resources.
We hope to see you atop our luscious green mountains, among unending rows of coffee plants decorated by mist and red volcanic soil, and above all, relating with kind farmers and workers who want to share and exchange our experiences with you.
